Wednesday is Church Night

Join MUMC’s families on Wednesdays for an evening of programming for K-3 and 4-6 at 6:30-7:30 pm. There’s something for everyone on Wednesday nights. Contact Donna Albert at 952-474-4114 for more information.

Sunday Morning at Minnetonka UMC

Children's Ministry

Children's ministry isn't just about Sunday School. It's also about teaching kids the importance of faith, fellowship, and service to God. We have our school age children grouped into two main programs: Kids for Christ (KFCs); and Before Confirmation (BCs). KFCs encompass grades K-3; and BCs grades 4-6. All children are invited to participate in all areas of the church including First Sunday Services.

Nursery and Toddlers

We offer a nursery, a Toddler Room and a Pre-school class every Sunday during the worship service. We have a paid nursery attendant who is with the very young children every Sunday to help them feel more comfortable.

Children's Church

MUMC children attend Sunday School during the worship hour except for the 1st Sunday of the month, MUMC Family Sunday. All other Sundays children K-5 gather in the Fellowship Hall to sing, learn and pray together before starting their new rotation. The Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministry lead Children's Church experience. The next rotation theme is "Three women of Faith". During this rotation, the children will learn about three women in the Bible: Priscilla, Lydia and Dorcas.

Junior High (6-8 grades) Sunday School

Each week the junior High class takes a look at topics important to them and their faith journey. They explore what the scriptures have to say and what it means to them to live as a Christian.

Senior High (10-12 grades) Sunday School

New this year. Continue your faith journey with other area senior high youth.

Events and Programs

The Rotation Sunday School Program BEGINS THIS FALL ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16.

At MUMC our children learn about God through the Power Xpress curriculum. This rotation model curriculum teaches children about Bible stories and faith values over a number of weeks. In the course of each rotation the kids will move through several areas of experience including cooking, music, art, computers, movies, science, games or storytelling. The Rotation Sunday School runs from September - May.

giving gifts at Christmas to local agencies
collecting food for ICA
collecting dental supplies for Honduras Mission
