Starting this Sunday, May 20, we are changing to ONE worship service on Sunday mornings, beginning at 9:30am. The scripture lesson for this Sunday is Luke 24:44-53.
This Sunday, May 20, immediately follow the worship service, we will have a Celebration of the Ministry of Donna Albert at MUMC in the sanctuary. Refreshments will be served in the Coffee Area after the brief program.
On Sunday, May 20, 3pm to 6pm, there will be a celebration of Rev. Liz Lopez who will be retiring as the Twin Cities District Superintendent at the end of June. This celebration will be held at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church.
The Church Office will be closed after 1pm on Thursday, May 24, because the Church Staff will be at an off-site planning retreat. If you have events/programs that you would like to be scheduled during the 2012-2013 program year, please let a staff member know prior to May 24.
PENTECOST SUNDAY is May 27! Remember to wear red, orange, or yellow for the 9:30am Community Worship Service!
The Church Office will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
The Annual Conference of the Minnesota Area of The United Methodist Church will be held at the St. Cloud Convention Center, Wednesday, May 30 through Friday, June 1. Dave Nuckols is MUMC’s lay member of Annual Conference. I’ll be at Annual Conference as the pastor of MUMC. In addition, the following clergy affiliated with MUMC can attend: Harly Hagmann, Gretchen Fogo, Carol Walvatne, Fritz Sauer, Liz Lopez, Tiffany McDonald, and Mike Miller. Kristie Lester is the lay member representing Excelsior UMC. Please keep the members and business of the Minnesota Annual Conference in your prayers.
