Music and Arts are an integral part of the worship experience at Minnetonka United Methodist Church.

Dance

Music

Chancel Choir: Open to anyone in confirmation or older who loves to sing. The choir provides music leadership in worship from September through May. Rehearsals on Wednesday evenings with a prep on Sunday before worship. All levels of ability are encouraged to participate.

Children's Choir: Open to kids in grades 1-6. The chore explores many stiles of music in singing and playing. Meets Wednesday from 6:15 pm in the sanctuary. Sings at 9:30 worship service about once a month.

Dance

Liturgical Dance: members of this small group meet periodically to learn and rehearse dance movements. These dances will then be shared with the congregation, usually on Sunday mornings, a few times a year. This is an opportunity to share your faith in a different way rather than through the spoken word. For more information, contact Loretta Dunn at 952-470-4363.

In the beginning

when God created the heavens and the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters. Then God said "let there be light....

On the second day

Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters and let it separate the waters from the waters... God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning.

On the third day

Let the waters under the sky be gathered together in one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so. God called the dry land Earth and the waters that were gathered together were called seas. And God saw that it was good.

On the fourth day

God made two great lights.. to rule over the day and over the night and to separate the light from the darkness.....

On the fifth day

Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let the birds fly....

On the sixth day

So God created humankind in his image...

and on the seventh day

...So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.
