UNIDOS EN CRISTO is Minnesota's ecumenical expression of the Cursillo movement which was started in the Roman Catholic Church in Spain in the 1940's. Since 1981 over 8,000 people from over 160 Minnesota churches of many denominations have attended including many people from Minnetonka UMC.
MISSION
The mission of Unidos en Cristo is to revive and strengthen Christian commitment and community in the local church.

Question 1: What is an Unidos en Cristo weekend?
Short Answers: A short course in Christian living; an encounter with God’s grace
Longer Answer: It is a structured 3 day program designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people and bring them to a more active awareness of living in God’s grace.

Question 3: What happens on an Unidos en Cristo weekend?
Answer: Participants spend the weekend together at a church. The program includes a series of talks by lay people and clergy, small group discussions, worship, music, prayer, fun, food, and fellowship. Clergy are available for individual spiritual guidance as well.

Answer: Each person’s experience at an Unidos en Cristo weekend is unique. Most people find themselves growing in their faith, drawing nearer to God, and discovering a new sense of belonging, purpose, and meaning for their lives. Some find the weekend transformational. Many make life-long friends. Couples rediscover common ground in their faith that strengthens their relationship. Some find a greater ability to focus on their faith in their everyday lives.
