Survey: Personal Profile

 PURPOSE

The Gifts-oriented Ministry program asks you to complete this Personal Profile form so that we’ll be able to help you find ways to be involved in the church that are a good fit for you based on your talents and skills, your interests and passions, your personality traits, and your current life situation. The information you provide will be used to create a profile for you, or to update your existing profile, in the MUMC Gifts-oriented Ministry database. The 2010 Personal Profile is significantly different from those we’ve used over the past few years. We are asking everyone to complete this one so that we will have both current and consistent data for everyone.

After you have entered your information on to this on-line survey, click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the web page.

WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT

If you specified in item 11 that you would like help with finding a good fit for yourself at MUMC, or that you are interested in a specific activity, the appropriate person(s) will be advised and you will be informed so that follow-up contacts can occur.

If you indicated in item 10 that any of your current roles is not a good fit, the Committee on Nominations and Leadership Development (CNLD) will follow up with you.

In the spring of each year the CNLD searches the database to find candidates to invite to be nominated for the various open leadership and committee positions for the next year. You may be contacted by a CNLD member.

Any time there is a need within the church to find people with specific talents, skills, interests, preferences, etc., the leader of the team or activity concerned may search the database, review the profiles, and contact people for whom the opportunity would be a good fit.

Leaders of church teams and committees will be encouraged to review their group member's profiles and to do all they can to enable each person to participate in ways that fit their strengths and preferences.
