Carrie grew up in Edina, Minnesota. She earned a B.A. in Music from Luther College, with a minor in Music Education K-12. She then moved to Evanston, Illinois where she met her husband and received a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. In 2021, she completed a graduate certificate program in Non-Profit Church Leadership from Dakota Wesleyan University. Carrie has been the lead pastor of Minnetonka United Methodist Church since the summer of 2021. Prior to that, she served as the lead pastor of Community United Methodist Church (Monticello) for six years and Discovery UMC (Chanhassen) for five. She was a member of the pastoral team at Messiah UMC (Plymouth) with a young adult ministry focus during her first three years of professional ministry. Carrie and Peter have two boys, Noah and Nathan, who keep them on their toes! Together, they enjoy family outings and adventures to sporting events, theatrical productions and more. In her free time, Carrie loves to travel, sing and spend time with her family. One day she hopes to be on The Amazing Race.
