Barabbas: Set Free

Series: Beyond the Background: Supporting Roles that Shape the Easter Story

March 01, 2026 | Rev. Carrie Binnie

Passage: Matt. 27:15-26

Shame is a very real thing. Sometimes others impose it on us, sometimes we bring it upon ourselves. Many of the happenings leading up to Easter have been soaked with shame. Perhaps by taking a closer look at the story of Barabbas, we’ll see that we, too, can find freedom.

Series Information

Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection are the heart of the Easter story. But an entire cast of characters took on important, supporting roles in the days leading up to Easter. Join us as we explore the events of Holy Week through their eyes. Together, we’ll see that the resurrection isn’t just a past event, but an invitation into something new!
